Fall Armyworm Lure
Spodoptera frugiperda
The Fall Armyworm Pheromone Lure attracts adult Fall Armyworm moths in crops such as maize, sugarcane and sorghum (jowar). It can be used for pest monitoring and mass trapping, helping farmers detect pest activity and manage moth populations in the field.
Regular use helps in assessing pest pressure, reducing the risk of crop damage, and supporting timely pest-management practices. It is suitable for use as part of an Integrated Pest Management (IPM) programme.
Target crops
Maize, Sugarcane, Sorghum (Jowar)
How to apply
- Place the lure inside a funnel trap or moth trap.
- Place traps above the plants at different spots in the field.
- Use one lure per trap.
- Number of traps: 10–15 per acre.
- Replace the lure every 30–45 days, or sooner if it stops attracting the pest.
